Health Plans can be described as having a twelve month Action Plan. You need to know what the health and well being issues are of the community. You need to gauge if you have enough financial and staffing resources available to commence the process as outlined in the plan. You need to include all the main key stakeholders in the process, cost sharing, or funding coordination. This may be defined as collaborative stakeholder consultation and engagement. Make sure you have all Health Practitioners involved in all the discussions. You need to have a good understanding and awareness how to forward plan for the community for the next twelve months.
Continue to have extensive relationships with all health providers. There also needs to be adequate access to medical services. You need to include a Board of Directors that are proactive to set achievable and realistic goals and objectives on behalf of the community. Good communication skills are imperative through the process. The Board of Directors need to know what their expectations are and this needs to be handed down through the organisation to the CEO and staff. Need to keep the community informed by way of feedback.
