Cultural and Leadership Development. Cross Cultural Training and Awareness.
‘WELCOME’ to the Dianne Borella Consultancy website. My consultancy business first started in the latter part of 2012. I decided to start my own business after a number of years in the Australian Public Service. I was born and raised in Darwin on Larrakia Country. I am an Aboriginal (Yawuru) & Torres Strait Islander woman with links to Broome and the Torres Straits.
I was elected as an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Regional Councillor for the Darwin Ward of Yilli Rreung Regional Council for a three year period before the demise of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Commission.
Over the years in the Australian Public Service I worked in the Department of Employment, Education and Training (aka) Department of Education Science and Training, Department of Health and Ageing in the Office for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health and worked in the Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs. More recently I worked for Wurli Wurlinjang Health Service, Menzies School of Health Research and the City of Darwin Local Government. I have worked and lived in Darwin, Nhulunbuy, Katherine, Tennant Creek, Alice Springs and Thursday Island in roles such as Aboriginal Education Officer, Aboriginal Field Officer, Program and Project Manager, Regional and District Manager, Health Solution Broker, Assistant Director, Senior Employment Officer and Senior Project Officer.
My vision statement is:
‘To assist Indigenous and non-Indigenous people in understanding each other better in the workplace, boardroom and the wider community.’
My mission is:
‘Dianne Borella Consultancy works with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities to provide advice and support to better equip them to deal with life and work situations as they arise.’
